Severe Weather Awareness Month
With the snow starting to melt, and temperatures getting warmer, we know we are getting closer to spring weather. With spring weather, comes temperature changes, rain fall, and thunderstorms that can turn into emergencies. March is considered Severe Weather Preparedness Month, and both the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) and the National Weather Service (NWS) want to help Illinoisans be better prepared for severe weather storms.

- Find a shelter place during storms
- Identify weather warnings, ad visionaries, and weather watches
