Firefighter/Paramedic Examination

A Mandatory Orientation Will Be Held On Wednesday, June 18, 2008

To Establish An Eligibility List

 

Qualifications

 

1)     U.S. Citizen

2)     Must Be Between 21 - 35 Years Of Age At Time Of Written Test EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE PROVIDED BY STATE STATUTE

3)     Must Possess Or Be Able To Acquire A Valid Drivers License Through The State Of Residency

4)     Must Be An Illinois Licensed Paramedic And Certified Illinois Firefighter II AT TIME OF HIRE

5)     Must Have Proof Of Successful Completion Of The CPAT Test At Time Of Oral interview.

6)     Must Be Able To Pass A Written Test, Oral Examination, Psychological/Polygraph Test, And Thorough Background Check

7)     Must Be Able To Meet Residency Restrictions

 

 

Applications may be picked up at the Beach Park Fire Headquarters, 3233 N. Lewis avenue Beach Park, Illinois Monday - Friday between 8:00am and 4:00pm, ONLY beginning on Monday, May 19, 2008.  Completed applications,  accompanied by all required documentation MUST be returned to headquarters by 4:00pm, Friday, June 13th, 2008, NO EXCEPTIONS.
